aos aetherwar chaosWarscroll Battalions are back! Check out the surprise new matched play rules that were spotted inside the Sold Out Aether War box set for Age of Sigmar!

Imgur was kind enough to give us a peek into the new set including the new Warscrolls Battalions. This isn’t the first time GW has given extra Warscrolls for armies outside of their Battletomes. In fact, most Start Colletings used to as well, but they were never for matched play… until now!

Luckily in this book, they even tell us the points right away so we can get playing games with the models in this box.

Overlords aertherwar battalionFirst up for the Kharadron Overlords half of the box, when they take their Battalion they get a pretty nice 6″ move at the start of the game.

Both of these Warscroll Battalions come in at 110 points. Both seem okay at face value, but I suspect Disciples edge out just a bit better. However, these probably aren’t gonna be meta defining by any means, and truly it’s just nice to give people something to play with when they are just starting to build up an army.

aetherwar sold outNew rules are usually great to hear for the hobby, but it may not matter if no one can get their hands on it. Is this a matter of no supply, or that it is really that popular?

Do you think the new Battalions are good enough to use? Are you happy to See Battalions outside of the main Battletomes?
