A new gameplay video is out showing just how intricate the Necromunda Underhive wars Video Game is going to be. Don’t miss this!
We’ve been tracking Necromunda’s developing video game for a little while. If you missed our first coverage of it, be sure to check it out here and get all caught up. We’ll be going over the highlights and latest video release hyping up the game.
Necromunda Release Date September 8th
Deep below the hive cities of Necromunda, lead, customize and grow your gang in the twisted tunnels of the dystopian Underhive. Face rival gangs in tactical gunfights for power, wealth, survival, and honor.
We’ve been watching this game develop over the last several months and now, we can look forward to September 8th when this game fully releases for PC, Xbox 1, and PS4. Now trailers and teasers can only do so much. If you’re still not convinced, Focus Home Interactive’s YouTube channel posted up an in-depth gameplay video.
Necromunda Gameplay Video Flexes Gang War Details
In the video, the developers show off just how far you can take the cosmetic customization of your gang between three houses. Orlocks, Goliath, and Escher. This is also a story and multiplayer mode to play through once the game launches. As you play, the game will keep track of lasting injuries on your gangers as well as reputation and gang wealth.
Just like on the tabletop, you don’t want your dudes to die off, but depending on the mission, you could have a lot of potential reputation and riches on the line. It may be worth it to sacrifice a dude to get that new Stubber you’ve been wanting!
There’s also some gameplay showing the different mechanics of classes within your gang. For example, the leader can inspire others with some encouraging words or basically threaten them to do a certain action.
There are also other classes like saboteurs that can booby trap/ dismantle machinery within the underhive to keep your opponent from getting the upper hand.
It’s not been touched on in the video, but judging by this shot of the before-game setup, it looks like you’ll be able to start the game with some gangers in different areas of the map.
Overall, the game is looking nicely polished and with platforms like the new Xbox1 picking it up, the game may be a big hit within the community. Shoot, this could even bring fans of the Necromunda game to the tabletop version!
