By Travis Pasch | September 15th, 2020 | Categories: Kickstarter, RPG, Unboxing, Videos, Warhammer 40k Rumors

Stormsunder Feature How big Don’t worry if you missed out on the very cool Stormsunder Heirs of Ruin Kickstarter, you can still get on the preorder!

This week we are cracking open some of the minis from the Kickstarter and seeing just how durable they are. The game is an RPG with some really insane looking minis and over 300 hours of gameplay! That’s just from the first book as well. Who knows how much more they will eventually release.

We are going to show you some of the first minis they have released and give them a little smash test! That way you can decide if this game is worth your hard-earned hobby dollars. Let’s go!

Stormsunder Heirs of Ruin: Unboxing

Pre-Order Here!

All the Stuff StormsunderEverything you get in the boxes! Rob isn’t normally much of an RPG gamer, but this really seems to have everything to make for a fun game. Including cool minis, fast gameplay, and an in-depth story. You can also play solo adventures to get more gear or play with a group to accomplish goals.

They took the inspiration for this off computer-style RPG’s. With fast-paced action, ability to solo play, and fun character development. Each character even has it’s own agenda, so you are kind of working together but also trying to secure your own goals.

Cards & Heroes:

Aleksander

Adina

Capac Roca

VanessaThey have up to six heroes to choose from. Each hero is far more powerful than the normal dudes and each has its own personality and agenda. Be careful who you choose to party up with! You never know what they are trying to gain. You also get to build up your gear through cards instead of just remembering or writing it down! If you want to see more about what’s all in the kit, check out our post about it here.

Promo Box And Cards

Promo Box StormsunderRob really likes that they have some minis already. It’s hard for him to get behind Kickstarters that don’t have any promo items. It just doesn’t bode well for the project. They even sent the minis in such a cool box!

Stormsunder CardsThey also give you background cards on each of the heroes. Just adds that extra layer of immersion.

The Minis

Lady Raneta Computer RenderThe computer renders of Lady Renata. Let’s see just how close they got the actual mini to the render.

Lady Renata

Actual mini Lady RenataYou can see just how awesome this thing is! It is all one piece and really captures the essence of the renders perfectly. Really just a great mini with tons of detail.

Both Promo Minis

Capac RocaCapac Roca is another incredibly done mini! Full of detail and still a single piece. Hard to beat that! On top of that, they have already sourced the manufacturing and look good to go.

One thing they stressed is just how durable the material is. They said they have thrown these across the office to test it, and it didn’t break! Rob didn’t have the heart to throw it across the room but he did drop it and roll it all over the floor, with no damage! But hey, not too many minis can survive a ten-foot toss!

That does it for this review of the first two minis released! We can’t wait to see more and try the game out. Who knows, maybe this is the one to get Rob back into RPG’s.
