Marneus Calgar comic book has been getting teased for a while, and now what looks to be an alternate cover & a release date have been spotted!
Marvel and GW have partnered up to bring us a Marneus Calgar comic book. We’ve already seen a few pages of artwork on the book without any dialogue that we strongly suggest you check out if you haven’t already. But as for the latest bit of news and rumors, it looks like some alternate cover art and more details have emerged.

New Marneus Calgar Comic Book Rumors & Alternate Cover SPOTTED
Starting off with the alternate cover, it looks like fans will be given the opportunity to color in the Intercessor themselves to whatever Chapter they wish.
The series will tell the beginnings of the legendary space marine Marneus Calgar in the world of Nova Thulium as he uncovers a great threat from his past. The first issue will feature an alternate cover by illustrator Max Dunbar . This cover will have a special role so that we can apply the color ourselves as if it were a miniature from the game.
With Marneus being the main character of the story, probably 99% of the people that grab the comic will also paint this guy as an Ultramarine. But it’s a really unique idea to let fans express their creativity on the first Marvel/GW comic ever!
So When is the Comic Coming?
So when will we be able to get our hands on the new comic? Well, According to La Casa De El:
Starting next October, Marvel will begin publishing a new series based on the universe of the board game Warhammer 40,000. This new series will consist of five issues, it will be scripted by Kieron Gillen and inside we will find the illustrations by Jace Burrows.
Ultimately, it looks like we’ve got a little bit of time to wait before the comic is all ready to go. But the good news is that this won’t just be a one-off comic release. This story in particular is going to span across five issues!
