GW confirmed two new previews coming this week for Cursed City rules and a look into Warzone Charadon for 40k.
Warhammer Community just let us in on the new releases coming our way next week! But first, let’s go over all we know so far for each.
Cursed City Contents Reveal
In February, we actually got the entire contents of Cursed City revealed, below is a screencap of the contents, if you’d like our full breakdown you can see it here.
All in all this set comes with 50 miniatures plus 10 objective markers and all the dice, tokens cards, and more that you will need to play the actual game.
While we don’t know the price of this set quite yet, here is what the last Warhammer Quest starters sold for in the year they were released:
- Silver Tower (2016) $150
- Shadows Over Hammerhal (2017) $150
- Blackstone Fortress (2018) $150
Cursed City Terrain Rules Preview
Later in the week, delve into Warhammer Quest: Cursed City as you take a closer look at the environments of Ulfenkarn. Discover where you’ll slaughter the undead as you seek out the villainous Radukar the Wolf.
While they don’t give too much away here, we can tell that with most modular game boards they usually offer plenty of replayability. Hopefully, once we see the rules this week we will have a better idea if that remains true with Cursed City or not.
Warzone Charadon: Book of Rust
All the way back in November, we got the first look into War Zone Charadon, if you want to read more you can check out the original post here.

A new narrative expansion similar to Vigils is on the way. Act 1 also suggests this will be a multiple book-long narrative and development. The book focuses on a Typhus lead Death Guard campaign to take down an Imperium Forge World. However, it’s not just Mechanicus and Death Guard…
There’s more than just the background of an epic war zone in here, the book also includes new rules for:
- Death Guard
- Adeptus Mechanicus
- Imperial and Chaos Knights
- Drukhari
The warriors of Commorragh are keen to take advantage of the chaos and confusion caused by Typhus’ invasion. Alongside these codex supplements are rules for playing through the Charadon campaign yourself. Can you claim Metalica for the Death Guard or will you try to stop Typhus?
Warzone Charadon Deep Dive Preview This Week
You can also find out what the Book of Rust is all about in our deep dive into the background and rules you’ll find in the first Warhammer 40,000 War Zone Charadon campaign expansion. Prepare to be excited by some awesome ways to build armies themed around the events of the campaign.
We knew who would be featured, but thanks to what we can assume to be release delays, we haven’t heard much in quite some time about this narrative book. Hopefully, we get a ton of news from it during the preview this week!
