chaos storm ad mech 1Matt went for a single Lucius Battalion led by a Marshal and 2 Tech-Priest Manipulus. The Marshal provides valuable re-rolls, while Manipulus can buff ap and heal models now, making for a pretty good leadership combo.

The first Troop choice is 5 Kataphron Breachers. These provide durable bodies and pretty decent ranged and melee options.

chaos storm ad mech 2The rest of the Troops consist of 30 Rangers and 20 Vanguards. Both of these serve as basic troops and 50 extra bodies, which helps a lot when you add in rerolls and need to grab objectives.

Elites see the inclusion of 10 Infiltrators and 10 Rustalkers. Infiltrators provide extra game utility and can prevent enemy rerolls within 12″, while Rustalkers serve as one of the very few “actual” melee threats in the faction.

chaos storm ad mech 3Fast Attacks bring in 6 Ironstriders, which are fantastic range options that also have great mobility and decent durability. Easily one of the best tried and tested Ad Mech models.

Flyers bring two Archaeopter Fusilave. These can pump out some bonus mortal wounds and are generally hard to deal with for your opponents.

Lastly, there is a single transport in the Skorpius Dunerider. While this might have been to round out the extra points, this does allow for a single unit to push up the board more easily and more protected for the first few turns.

Grats to Matt for the win!

Ad Mech have won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists?
