The FactoruM January GT happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists towards the top!
The top overall players were a lot of the same stagnant meta that has hung over tournaments like the ghost of the Knight Castellan, so we’re featuring some of the more unique lists that placed high instead!
Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: FactoruM January GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
However, again we aren’t covering all those lists, instead, we will be looking at just a few of our favorite, but still strong lists!
6th Place: Ben Carlsson – Blood Angels
3rd Place: Liam Callebout – Eldar
2nd Place: Kevin Nicholls – Chaos Knights
Kevin went full-on mayhem running a War Dog Chaos Knights list. His first of two Super-Heavy detachments features a whopping 9 War Dogs, all of which are running Thermal Spears and Reaper chain-cleavers.
These are fantastic models because of their combination of mobility, durability, and flexibility. Their weapon load-outs allow them to target pretty much anything at range and their melee weapon makes them a threat if they are able to inevitably charge in!
The second detachment is more Forge World oriented with a total of 5 War Dogs Moirax all of which are running Graviton Pulsar. These are very similar to normal War Dogs, however, they get access to some unique Forge World weapons. One such special option is the Graviton Pulsar which excels are obliterating 2 wound models like all the space marines running around.
With a total of 10 Graviton Pulsars, those marines won’t stand a chance!
