Custodes On Top at Mork’s Maritime Open: 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves. Check out the event details here.
3rd Place: Colton McInnis – Necrons
2nd Place: Nick Steeves – Astra Militarum
1st Place: Keenan Elliot – Adeptus Custodes
Keenan’s winning Custodes was a two detachment set up, with the first being a battalion of Custodes led by Trajann and a Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike. Trajann is a fantastic HQ who is both a great combatant and support piece as he is one of the best Custodes models. The Captain provides a re-roll aura while being on a mobile body with great durability and ranged power.
Troops have 9 Custodians and 6 Sagittarum, which are all standard choices that are way more effective than other faction troops and much more point-dense. They can also perform very well in both melee and ranged combat.
Elites bring in two Contemptor Dreadnoughts, which are fantastic armored threats with decent melee options and a good melee statline in a pinch.
Heavy Support closes the detachment with a Grav-tank, a great ranged threat that can easily take out enemy armor or elites.
Finally, the second detachment is just bringing in 2 Helverins with Meltaguns to help remove any armor threats from range to allow the foot-slogging bodies to go up the board uncontested.
