Top 40k Army Lists: Tau Suppresses The Mighty Meeple GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves. Check out the details here.
3rd Place: Timothy Schaefer – Space Wolves
2nd Place: Patrick Martin – Tyranids
1st Place: Lyle Dixon – Tau
Lyle’s winning Tau was a simple 2 Patrol setup, with the first being led by two commanders, one being a Coldstar for its added mobility. These are fantastic models, although a little bit selfish, and are great at taking out a variety of targets thanks to their mobility, durability, and weapon load-outs.
Troops keep it tight with a 9-man Breacher team, for some simple closer-ranged bodies.
Elites have six Crisis suits, for some more durable threats that come with great weapons and Ballistic Skill to pump out consistent damage,
The Detachment then closes out with two Sun Shark Bombers for some chip damage throughout the game and a Devilfish for some added mobility and to bring those breachers to the front lines!
The second Patrol starts off with a 3rd commander, this time in the Enforcer suit for some added durability. Once again, this is a fantastic ranged solo threat.
The troops go for the cheapest option in 10 Kroot just to fill out the requirement.
Elites bring in five more Crisis Suits for some more strong, durable, and flexible ranged threats.
Finally, the list closes with eight Kroot Hounds for some harass units that can tie something up or slow down the enemy’s advancements toward the Tau gun lines.
