GW just revealed new Horus Heresy Contemptor Dreadnought legion upgrades for six legions to start- check it out!
Well, it looks like we will be getting more than just normal marine upgrades! Very similar whole models are available on Forge World right now, but they are in resin, and from the sounds of it, these will be resin upgrades for the current plastic model kits.
First to release are resin torso-and-head upgrade sets for six Legions
This time around, the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Dark Angels, Emperor’s Children, White Scars, and Iron Warriors will all be receiving upgrade bits, but we expect them to keep it going for all the legions.
New Horus Heresy Contemptor Dreadnought Legion Upgrades Revealed!

One of the enduring images of the Horus Heresy is Contemptor Dreadnoughts smashing their way through the front lines with contemptuous ease. These mighty war machines are clad in the colours and livery of their Legion – and you’ll soon be able to upgrade the awesome plastic Contemptor with sculpted heraldry of your choice.
It’s always nice to have your legion built right into your dread! They are the bodies and heads; let’s just hope they aren’t too expensive because they look really dope!
First to release are resin torso-and-head upgrade sets for six Legions – the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fists, Dark Angels, Emperor’s Children, White Scars, and Iron Warriors.
Veterans of the Horus Heresy may recognise these adornments from the resin Contemptor Dreadnoughts currently available from Forge World. They’ve been rebuilt and retooled to work with the new plastic model in all its versatile glory.
They also didn’t mention MTO for these, so let’s hope you can just do them through a normal pre-order.
However, this does mean that the original resin Legion Contemptor Dreadnoughts – which have Legion-specific shoulders, legs, and other details – are not long for this world. They’ll soon be marked as Last Chance to Buy, and after that will disappear for good, so if you want one before the upgrade set becomes available, you’ll need to order it soon.
Well, if you want any of the previous whole resin kits, you might want to get them now before they are gone for good!
