World Eaters Combat 40k Patrol Box Set: What’s the Value?

Is-this-Worth-It-&-Value-world-eaters-value-combat-patrol-warhammer-40kThere’s value in the new Warhammer 40k World Eaters Chaos Combat Patrol; here is our price breakdown and review of the box.

You may remember these Combat Patrol box sets are mostly designed for new players to the factions. They are similar to the old Start Collecting Sets that GW introduced back in 2016 and marketed as a quick way to get a small force on the table to play some small games right away.

Usually, these starter-style kits are a pretty good value, so even if you have some World Eaters already, then this could be worth the pickup

World Eaters Combat Patrol

While Chaos Space Marines are limited to a single Chaos Lord per Detachment, the World Eaters aren’t subject to such petty jealousy. They can field as many beast-bound Lords as their HQ slots allow, meaning you can muster the complete contents of two Combat Patrols – all without needing to spend any Command points on the new Heroic Support Stratagem.

  • World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut $60
  • 10 Jakhals $50
  • 20 Khorne Berzerkers $120 ($60 for 10)

Total MSRP: $230

Total savings versus the (estimated) $160 box price: $70

Is the World Eaters 40k Combat Patrol Box Set Worth it?

World Eaters Lord on JuggernautWell, just based on the value, it’s a decent buy, then with the models included, it gets even better. Especially considering it has all new models and they are very useful, this will be a great pickup for newer and veteran players alike.

If you were thinking about picking up a lot of Berzerkers, this is basically a no-brainer. As you basically get the Lord for free and about another $10 in value.

What to Buy Next for the World Eaters Combat Patrol Box?

You have a decent base force here, but with how the book is structured, you could actually just buy two Combat Patrol boxes and have a pretty large force and have saved a lot of money.

After that, you probably want some Eightbound for the extra punch, and with the ability to revive Angron, you probably want him in your army! From there, you can really just fill out the rest of your points with what you think is cool, as you’ll have a large bulk of your force already.
