Leagues of Votann scored a top spot as our new homebrew Warhammer 40k army list from the Southampton GT!
Check out this excellent homebrew list that emerged in a tournament over the weekend that once again shows that sometimes it’s more about the general’s skill than what you play.
Top Warhammer 40k Homebrew Army List: The Southampton GT
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
The Southampton GT: Rob Lebeau – Leagues Of Votann 4th Place
Rob is one of the few players who have started finding success with the squats again since their “NERF”. Surely we will see a big event top 3 soon in the future as the players continue to adjust to the changes.
His list was led by an Iron-master and a High Kahl, which provides two good bodies and support for the rest of the list.
Troops keep it simple with 20 Hearthkyn Warriors for some decent ranged models.
Elites bring in 15 Hearthguard, which are essentially the Terminators for Votann, making them more durable and deadly than their other rank-and-file options.
Fast Attacks bring in the hoverbikes with 15 Pioneers to zip around and lay down some shots where they are needed each turn.
Finally, the list closes with three Thunderkyn for some good anti-armor ranged shots!
