With the new model arriving, GW dropped new Warhammer 40k rules for Commander Dante and his datasheet- check it out!
It’s been a while since the Blood Angels got a new miniature, so it’s nice to see the wild men of the Space Marines get something new! While not a ton has really changed with the datasheet, there are some updates like a new weapon, and increased points.
GW has also been giving all the points and rules out for free lately, which only makes sense since 10th Edition is dropping soon, and all the rules are changing. Still, it’s always nice to get free rules, so we’re not complaining!
GW Drops New Warhammer 40k Commander Dante Rules Datasheet
The new 40k rules for Commander Dante come from Warhammer Community.
Not too much has changed for the venerable Commander, because it’s hard to improve on perfection, but his relic Perdition Pistol has received a serious upgrade. No longer a vanilla inferno pistol, it now fires a solid beam of melta right through anything in its way, melting man, beast, and tank like so much butter.
This does have 3″ more than the previous pistol now. However, with only a 9″ range, it will be harder to get this on more than two units. Savvy players might be able to ping off wounds on three different units, which is pretty sweet at AP-4 and D6+2 Damage!
Now, let’s check out the datasheet.
First up, he goes up 10 points, so nothing crazy there. Honestly other than that, there are not a ton of changes, but we’ll compare below to his old datasheet.
Comparing the new and old datasheet , here are the differences:
- The new pistol is much stronger, longer range, and deals higher damage at all times.
- One extra wound and attack.
- Points go up by 10
There you have it, nothing too crazy, but he is better than before, and just the attack and wound are worth the extra points, not to mention the new pistol!
