Games Workshop has updated stores with the latest on the Lion El’Jonson model release and allocations for the new Seraphon Army box set.
Allocations were back again for Warhammer 40k with the Lion El’Jonson release, as the numbers were about as tight as possible, leading to a spike in prices for the new primarch on the secondary market.
It also infuriated hobbyists who were not able to purchase the new model or accompanying books at regular prices, leading to a backlash against GW’s paid content creators as well.
This week all the stores and distributors we polled reported that Games Workshop updated them on what’s going on with the new Lion model, and what the allocations caps will be for the new Seraphon Army Box Set.

- Seraphon Army Box: No Caps
While it’s great for AoS players to have no restrictions on the new Seraphon Army box this week, it’s puzzling why it was the exact opposite for the new Lion Primarch model.
Speaking of the Lion…
According to sources, Games Workshop informed stores that the Lion’s Guard retinue box set and books are sold out to retailers. However, there is good news as GW has also said the individual release of the Lion Primarch model would be happening.
Regardless allocations have also been going on for over two months now, so at this point; it seems to officially be a trend from Games Workshop headed into summer.
