GW Reveals New Forge World Horus Heresy & Black Library Releases For May
Straight from Warhammer Community, these are the new releases hitting shelves soon in May 2023!
Horus Heresy Armor w/ Plastic Upgrade Sprues
Classic tanks from the Forge World range return to the Horus Heresy at the Games Workshop webstore, upgraded with new plastic sponson sprues that make it easier than ever to add weapon variety to your armoured companies.
The super-heavy Legion transport known as the Mastodon is a mighty beast that keeps whole platoons of Space Marines safe within its hull, while the Fellblade, Falchion, and Glaive ferry supremely powerful weapons to the front while soaking up return fire. The Mastodon will also soon be getting an updated datasheet to allow all of the options available on the new sponson sprue, such as volkite culverins and heavy bolters.
Arquitor Bombards are dedicated artillery tanks, mounting either a spicula rocket system, a graviton-charge cannon, or a morbus heavy bombard. Despite their role as artillery, they still pack a pair of sponsons for more diverse work – each kit includes resin autocannons, plus the full spread of plastic lascannons, heavy flamers, heavy bolters, and volkite culverins.
Finally, the Javelin Land Speeder also gets new weapon options and an updated datasheet to give more versatile loadouts to speed-hungry commanders, while the Damocles Command Rhino Upgrade Kit lets you upgrade a regular plastic Deimos-pattern Rhino into a mobile command base with powerful sensor suites. All of these kits* contain both resin and plastic components, and can be taken by all Loyalist and Traitor Legions.
This is quite the selection of returning Forge World Horus Heresy kits, this time with plastic side sponson weapon sprues… That’s great since it’ll help you add more variety and options to your legions in the 31st millennium!
White Dwarf 488
The saga of the Herald of Misery comes to a close with the final battle in the White Dwarf Arks of Omen campaign, as the Tome Keepers and Blood Angels make a final desperate push to reach the centre of the accursed space hulk. Warsmith Czagra awaits, and those unlucky enough to be caught on board his Ark will need to contend with the new Unstable Structure tiles included in this issue.
White Dwarf is an excellent one-stop-shop for your GW hobby news, usually with some bonuses like extra rules inside!
Blightslayer
The legendary Gotrek’s adventures continue in Blightslayer by Richard Strachan, as the duardin Slayer saves a blasphemous warrior-priest from the gallows and earns a life-debt he neither wants nor needs. Nevertheless, Amara Fidellus is determined to return the favour, and the pair soon find themselves caught up in a sorcerous plot that – should it succeed – would plunge the Mortal Realms into the hellscape of Nurgle’s Garden.
Blightslayer will be available to pre-order this Saturday in hardback, eBook, and MP3 audiobook editions.
Gotrek is a fan favorite, and fo good reason, his books are usually bangers! So pick this up if you’ve been following everyone’s favorite angry dwarf.
Prince Maesa
Guy Haley’s tale of an exiled aelven prince scorned for the crime of loving a human returns to Black Library in paperback. Prince Maesa follows the eponymous nomad’s quest to return his paramour from the grip of death, a journey that will take him to the hostile lands of Shyish and earn the ire of Nagash himself, who jealously guards every last soul that crosses into his realm.
