$300,000 in Magic: The Gathering cards missing from Gen Con have finally been found, as charges are pending from the incident.
According to local authorities, the $300,000 worth of allegedly heisted Magic the Gather cards were recovered with assistance from the New York State Police. Shockingly the cards were confiscated and recovered from (you guessed it) New York.

In addition to this update on the recovery of the cards, the IMPD has reiterated that they are no longer looking for the two persons of interest: New York residents Thomas Dunbar and Andrew Pearson Giaume.
These two alleged persons of interest have been in contact with their attorneys, and the Marion County (Indiana) Prosecutor’s office is expected to file charges sometime soon.
Now remember, all parties are innocent until proven guilty here. For all we know, a strong gust of wind could have launched those cards to New York even though these folks were seen taking the sealed product for its afternoon walk.
Regardless, with this massive Gen Con Magic the Gathering scandal on its way to a close, it’ll be interesting to see what becomes of the large collection of MTG or “gaming cards,” as the IMPD puts it.
For now, at least, it appears that they will be held as evidence, but it would be wild if this was the last stop for all of that sealed Commander Masters product.
