US Wargaming is accepting applications for captain, meaning you could lead the team to victory at the world championships!
Do you have what it takes to lead the team to victory in 2024? If so, you should apply and get on the team! The US Wargaming Federation’s Warhammer 40k Committee votes on the application process for captain.
This seems like an excellent way to do it and a good opportunity for players all over the USA. The championships will take place in Mechelen, Belgium, next August, so you will have about a year to lead the team.
US Wargaming Accepting Applications For Captain
The info comes from the US Wargaming website.
Position: Captain of the US National Warhammer 40k Team
Term: September 28, 2023 to August 31, 2024
World Team Championships will be held from 8-11 August, 2024, in Mechelen, Belgium
The Top 8 Captain applicants per the Charter (see below) will be announced on September 20th.
Voting Members of the Committee will vote for the Captain on September 27th.
To be considered for Captain please answer the following questions in the application below, all questions must be answered for the submission to be valid. Answers to all three questions must be no more than 500 words.
1) Why should you be selected as Captain?
2) What qualifies you to be the Captain?
3) What are your goals for the Team during the 2023/2024 season?

This seems like a reasonable way to pick the next captain, as they will narrow it down to 8 applicants, and then the council will vote from there. If you want to apply, just be sure to get it in before the 17th! If you want to apply, send your application below.
