Despite the two-week pre-order period, it looks like it’s not enough as some newForge World and Games Workshop releases are being delayed.
There have been so many problems with GW stock levels and getting products to customers lately, from delayed Tyranids (and Space Marine Heroes), to the new two-week pre-order periods, etc.
Fortunately, it looks like this time, it will only be a single model being delayed, but rumor has it, the Warhammer Day mini looks may be delayed as well.
New Games Workshop Releases Delayed

This means at least two more weeks until you can order the Consul, and this comes basically one day ahead of when the pre-order period was supposed to begin. While this is just a single model, it just feels kinda bad after a long string of issues with shipping and allocations galore.
RUMORS: Warhammer Day Miniature Delayed?
Warhammer Commemorative Series – Leagues of Votann: The Ancestors’ Wrath
This commemorative miniature is available to order until 8am GMT on Monday the 6th of November 2023 and everyone ordering within this window will be guaranteed to receive a copy. We will ship them out within 180 days of the ordering window closing.
More importantly, stores are reporting potential issues with the Warhammer Day Exclusive Miniature not arriving on the 28th as solicited to them.
However, there is no official announcement yet from Games Workshop
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen big delays on new releases; if you ordered the new Tyranids models, you had to wait to pick them up from your local retailer, especially in the UK.
These are not the latest logistical errors playing GW lately either, as the Space Marine Heroes 4, and Combat Arena Lair of the Beast were both announced for pre-order and never actually went up for sale at the announced time.
On top of that, Legion Imperialis is also delayed indefinitely, supposedly because of rulebook issues. Now, we have a new way for stores to order from GW, everything on a two-week preorder period (which seems here to stay), and now this issue.
It’s an extraordinary time for GW, as they are seemingly making too much money, and selling out of every release, but can’t seem to get things to shelves on time…
