We’ve spotted what looks like an absurdly fake DKoK 1/6th scale action figure; be aware if you buy it, you do so at your own risk!
With the GW and Weta collaboration on the way for 1/6th scale figures, it makes sense someone would try and swoop in on the hype. However, we aren’t even sure if you would ever get this figure, as there are no refunds, and the payment process looks a little suspicious…
As with anything, there’s a chance we’re wrong about this. However, we would be highly wary of sending them any money for this…
Absurdly Fake 40k DKoK 1/6th Scale Action Figure Spotted
Well, first, they call this Hammer of War, and it’s pretty evident from the site that this is probably not a GW-branded product. Especially considering how much they are hyping up the Weta stuff, they haven’t mentioned anything about this. We also don’t think they would run two different 1/6th scale projects simultaneously. If they were, there is a good chance GW would have said something about it by now…
Again, the branding is just not on point, and if you ask us, these look very much like they could be AI or photoshopped images.
Perhaps the biggest reason this may be fake is no shovel accessory! How can you make a 1/6th scale figure without a serious shovel accessory? That is just heresy in its own right.
As we said too, the payment structure is also quite suspect, as you don’t pay fully upfront or just get a spot. You pay $35 for a spot. Please note that’s not $35 for the figure…
“This link for Non-Refundable Deposit payment $35, total price is $185 and balance $150 will be charged once it is released”
This is non-refundable, and if the figure is never released, you just gave away 35 bucks for something you’ll never get.
