3rd Place: Samuel Pope – Tyranids
2nd Place: Folger Pyles – Eldar
1st Place: Matt Lorah – Necrons
Matt’s winning Necron list was led by two Chronomancers for a good -1 to hit buff, while a Nightbringer and Void Dragon C’tan bring in some large solo models that excel in melee. Szeras has a great aura that buffs nearby allied battleline AP and nerfs enemy AP, Imotekh is a solid model with some CP generation, and a Plasmancer brings in abilities that offer some extra damage through crits and mortal wounds.
Battleline to pair up with the HQs includes three units of Immortals for slightly better bodies than normal warriors. Other sheets include two units of Swarms to soak wounds, a unit of Deathmarks for some long-range shots, and three units of Destroyers for some AP shots to take out armored threats.
The list ends on a Monolith for a larger, denser model with some good ranged shots and durability.
