NEW PICS – Cities of Death & Blood Angels Dataslates

The new dataslates set off quite the buzz yesterday, especially the new Blood Angels one that lets you assault out of deep strike.

Dust off those rule books and start theory hammering, because it seems like we’ll be seeing more on this one very soon.

Here’s the full write up on the spoiled dataslates courtesy of Faeit, and some new pics of the Cities of Death cards via Forge the Narrative.

Here are the formations from White Dwarf 47

1 Vanguard Veteran Squad
2 Assault squads

The formation must be placed in reserve and a single roll brings them in from reserves. Drop the Vanguard first, and the Assault Marines do not scatter if placed within 6″ of the Vanguards.

Any enemy units within 6″ of this formation after deepstriking, suffer a S4 hit for each of their models within 6″. The enemy unit also acts as they are in difficult terrain for their next turn.

Angels Fury
3 Tactical Squads -10 models each with a free teleport homer upgrade and must be embarked in stormravens at the beginning of the game.
3 Stormravens

if there are at least 2 models from this formation with teleport homers within 12″ of a teleport homer, then the squad does not scatter. 

The unit can enter reserves round 1 and makes a single reserve roll for the entire formation. You can re-roll it.

Flesh Tearer’s Blood Rain Strike Force
1 death company squad
1 vanguard squad
1 assault squad
1 furioso dreadnought
1 storm raven gunship

All models must be equipped with jump packs or be in the stormraven

The formation gets the Crusader special rule, and on any turn the formation disembarks from the stormraven, they can re-roll their charge and get rage.

Jump pack models in this formation must start in reserve, but can re-roll their reserve roll. They come on with a single roll. Any unit from this formation that comes in by deep strike, gains counter attack and fearless until the start of your next turn.

Mephrit Dynasty Resurgence Decurion
2 units of Necron Warriors
2 units of Immortals
1 Monolith

at the start of each movement phase the monolith can repair fallen models within 6″. d6 for warriors d3 for immortals. They get placed within 6″ of the monolith, and cannot take the squad above the starting size of the unit.
