Tau by Geoff Hill
Geoff’s Tau army was truly a sight to behold. It was filled with numerous battle suits, and the amount of effort and dedication that must have gone into painting and assembling each suit was impressive. In addition to the battle suits, we also noticed that Geoff had incorporated some Necromunda Ash Wastes models as Kroot.
These models fit in perfectly as Kroot and added an extra layer of detail to the army. The color scheme and paint job of these models were spot on and complemented the rest of the Tau seamlessly. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail and creativity that went into this Tau army.
Chaos Knights
These Chaos Knights look impressive and intimidating, with their grimy appearance and abundance of skulls. The army consists primarily of War Dogs, but a few larger Knights managed to join in, and there are even some Nurglings waddling alongside the engines.
Imperial Knights
Two towering Knights march at the forefront of the formation, their imposing presence commanding respect from all who behold them. Gleaming in the sunlight, their armor reflects the colors of the battlefield, a testament to the battles they have fought and won.
Additionally, a deadly Callidus assassin lurks in the shadows, ready to strike at a moment’s notice.
Drukhari
The Drukhari are draped in striking bone-white armor that gleams in the dappled sunlight filtering through the dense forest foliage. Their armor, decorated with gruesome smears of fresh blood, is a testament to their bloodlust and readiness for close combat.
As they advance through the forest, their predatory instincts are on full display as they scour the environment for any sign of exotic prisoners that might satisfy their twisted desires. Every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs is met with a sudden rush of adrenaline as the Drukhari stand ready to pounce upon their prey and unleash their ferocious powers.
Necrons- Matt Aaron
The Necrons are shrouded in dark, ominous cloaks that conceal their true forms, which are both terrifying and awe-inspiring. Their relentless pursuit of taking back the worlds that were once theirs is a testament to their power and determination.
The Nightbringer is one of the most powerful Necrons in the army. Its mere presence on the battlefield sends shivers down the spines of all who oppose it. As a centerpiece, it commands attention and respect, striking fear into the hearts of those who dare challenge the Necron forces.
Adeptus Custodes By Conor Foley
As war rages on, an army of soldiers adorned in glittering gold armor emerges from the trenches. These are the Custodes, the Emperor’s most elite protectors, who stand tall and unyielding amidst the carnage around them. Their glistening armor reflects the light of the sun, creating a brilliant spectacle that captures the attention of all who behold it.
Their unwavering loyalty to their leader and unbreakable resolve in the face of danger make them a formidable force on the battlefield.
Necrons
Illuminor Szeras, the enigmatic Necron scientist, is consumed by an insatiable desire to unlock the secrets of the cosmos and gain insight into the meaning of life. His pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds, and he is relentless in his endeavors to uncover the mysteries of the universe. However, realizing that he cannot achieve his goals alone, he has summoned forth his most fearsome and battle-hardened soldiers to accompany him in his quest.
These elite warriors, handpicked by Szeras himself, are the finest specimens in his army and possess the skills and prowess required to overcome any obstacle that stands in their path. With his loyal soldiers by his side, Illuminor Szeras is poised to embark on a journey of discovery that will change the course of history.
Space Marines
The Blood Angels are known for their incredible prowess in battle, but they are also known for their uncontrollable thirst for blood. This thirst, known as the Red Thirst, arises when the visions in their minds become too overwhelming to bear.
The visions are often of past battles, fallen comrades, and enemies they have faced. They are unable to resist the urge to give in to their inner rage and unleash their fury upon their enemies.
Despite the apparent danger posed by the Red Thirst, the Imperium has found a way to use it to its advantage. They direct the Blood Angels’ fury towards their enemies, allowing them to destroy their foes with immense power and ferocity.
They fight with all their might, knowing that their time is limited and that they will eventually succumb to the Red Thirst and perish in battle. But for the Imperium, their sacrifice is worth it, as they are able to claim victory over their enemies thanks to the Blood Angels’ unparalleled skill and unbridled rage.
World Eaters
These World Eaters are a fearsome band of warriors who have fully embraced their gladiatorial roots. They are adorned with shields and ancient helmets that harken back to a time when combat was a spectacle to be enjoyed. But don’t let their appearance deceive you, for these warriors are devoted to Khorne, the bloodthirsty god of war.
They roam the galaxy in search of new enemies, eager to claim more skulls as trophies of their victories. With unmatched ferocity and skill, the World Eaters strike fear into the hearts of all who stand in their way.
Thousand Sons By Louis
The Thousand Sons are an awe-inspiring army that seeks to revolutionize the world according to their vision. This army boasts an impressive array of towering models that are sure to leave their opponents in awe. The enigmatic and powerful Magnus is a force to be reckoned with.
What sets the Thousand Sons apart from other armies is their extensive use of psychic powers. They wield these powers with deadly accuracy to obliterate their enemies from the board.
Tyranids- Dean Prichard
This Tyranid army makes use of so many different types of bugs, and with this lighting reflecting the UV paint, these models look truly terrifying!
Dean’s Hive Fleet Nightmare Crabs Tyranid army was a sight to behold. It was made up of a diverse range of bugs, each with their unique strengths and abilities. The lighting in the display was such that the UV paint on the models reflected in a way that made them appear even more terrifying.
Each type of bug had a unique color scheme that made it stand out, and the texture of its exoskeletons was expertly crafted.
The overall effect was an army of models that looked like they could come alive and wreak havoc at any moment. It was clear that Dean had put a lot of thought and effort into making it as visually striking as possible. The result was an army that was both awe-inspiring and intimidating to behold.
Overall, these Warhammer 40k armies on display at Adepticon 2024 were some of the most stunning and awe-inspiring we have ever seen. They all deserve recognition for their incredible attention to detail and masterful execution.
