Today I’ve got another sweet Forge World unboxing video for you on the Deimos Mark I Predator. Recently, Forge World put out this kit and to go along with all the Pre-Heresy style Marks of armor they have been releasing over the past few years.
Even more recently, they followed this kit up with a Plasma Barreled Executioner variant, which I probably won’t get- but still looks sweet all the same.
For us “old timers” this MK1 kit looks familiar to us because it’s styling is almost exactly the same as the old plastic kit of the same name.
Recently I posted Flashback Friday article on the Second Edition Space Wolves Codex, that had a nice picture of the old MK1 Rhino for us to compare.

Citadel MK 1
Not too shabby indeed! I love how they kept the front “dozer” blade true. I also like the new sponson assembly on the Forge World version way better than the old plastic kit. The plastic ones always seem to snap over time.
The Kit
Predator Mk1 available for 46 pounds (~$74) from Forge World.
The Predator is a highly effective medium tank designed to provide Space Marine detachments with heavy fire support in the heat of battle. An ancient and revered design, cited by the Codex Astartes as a spiritual mentor, no less, there are almost as many patterns of Predator as there are of the ubiquitous Rhino hull it is based upon. One such variant is the Deimos Pattern Predator, first issued en-masse to the Space Marine Legions of the Great Crusade. Artificer-crafted by the finest machine-wrights of the great forge-complexes of Mars, the Deimos Pattern Predator has since been modified to the ‘Annihilator’ variant by those Chapters who are supplied with this pattern. The Deimos Pattern Predator, designed by Daren Parrwood and Will Hayes, is a complete resin and plastic kit that contains sufficient parts to build either a Destructor or an Annihilator pattern Predator. -Courtesy FW’s site

For now though, enjoy the video of Mk1 Predator. Oh and don’t forget to checkout my Rhino Mk1 from last week. -MBG
