Red & Blue Never Looked So Good: Adepticon Army Showcase

We move fast taking pictures when we’re guests at tournaments helping to cover the event for them. If this is your army and you would like the full-size images or credit added to the article, just email us: support AT spikeybits.com

Mars showcase 1

In this showcase, we’ll be looking at what Mars rolled out of the Forge World. On the dusty red planet, this blue/red color combination really stands out. Especially in the midst of all the bloodshed these Lords of War can cause. You can see the Castellan’s brother, the Valliant, taking up a huge chunk of the points with his massive harpoon arm. Meanwhile, the new Armiger Helverins backed him up for his lack of ranged firepower.

Then, there’s the Knight Crusader. This T8 monstrosity can really lay down the supporting fire in a flurry of high-strength assault cannon and rapid-fire battle cannon shots. Get a good look at the painting detail. This entire model underwent a pin wash. Which takes a long time to do, but the pay-off is so worth it.

To run interference, there were some Armiger Warglaives. These guys have the fun job of blasting melta shots at something before they football tackle it into submission with their saw arm.

You can get a real good look at the pin-washing detail that we talked about earlier on this guy. All you do is fill a fine-tipped brush up with a wash and lightly fill the edges of the armor plating. If you don’t have an airbrush, this is the way to detail your minis.

Last but not least, one of every Assassin also came out to play. With the authority of the Inquisition, the Mechanicum had every possible engagement covered. From the head-popping Vindicare to the infantry-shredding Eversor, there wasn’t anything this list wasn’t prepared for.

If this is your army and you’d like to have your name featured with it, just send us a message and we’ll be more than happy to edit the post!

All in all, while this list might have lacked the Command Points, it definitely had the resilience and firepower! Let us know what you think about this list in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
