There have been a fair number of Ad Mech rumors flowing around, here’s what new Adeptus Mechanicus minis could we be seeing in 2021.
They had a teaser in the big GW July 9th Edition launch preview and we’ve already seen two of the five minis from that preview come out (with the Death Guard one on deck). That really bodes well for Ad Mech to get some new stuff very soon.
Let’s look at what could be hitting store shelves at some point in 2021…
RUMORS: Even More New Ad Mech Minis Coming in 2021
We saw a preview of this Ad Mech mini, which means they could be very high on the list of next armies to get codexes, but we all know that already for the most part right>
The mini itself could easily be a new trooper or even a minor character like we’ve seen for the Sisters of Battle. But their line isn’t super fleshed out yet (even with the new Psychic Awakening release) So this could also be a new infantry unit we haven’t seen before. What could that unit be you may ask. Well, some time ago, we saw sketches about a new type of heavy Ad Mech infantry unit.
Could that be coming out with their 9th Edition codex drop? Well, we hope so cause this new unit sounds pretty dope.

New Ad Mech Heavy Infantry?
Let’s look at the possibility of heavy infantry.
Heavy Skitarii, according to the designers’ (Jes Godwin) sketchbook which was shown alongside the Skorpius model. They were stated to take up twice as many slots in the transport as regular Skitarii.
Now that the Hephaestons were mentioned with the Skorpius Dunerider, Burni from the B&C posted up some early sketch designs of the Hephaeston weapons that were compiled with early Dunerider concept art.
You can see in clear handwriting “Hephaeston Ranged Weapons” with what looks to be like medium-level firepower. Similar to Kataphrons. One design thought shows to be thinking that the weapons will be mounted directly to the shoulder joint.
Some pretty interesting possibilities! We’ll just have to see if any of them come true and when…
