admech wal paper

The Ad Mech are coming! Don’t miss the Skitarii Dunerider/Disintegrator rules and points have been spotted for Warhammer 40k!

Check out the datasheets showing weapon profiles, vehicle stats, and points costs for the Skitarii Dunerider/Disintegrator. We’ll breakdown how many points this thing will cost and let us know if you’ll be bringing some to the tabletop.

Skitarii Dunerider

Looking to be a screencap of a digital stat sheet, things are a bit blurry, but we can still see the points of everything. The Dunerider is a T6 transport that moves a decent 12″ and can carry 10 dudes. While the thing might have a definite use as a transport, its guns are hot garbage (which is understandable). It’s designed to be a cheap tin can that you throw up the board. So here’s the points breakdown for this unit:

  • Skorpius Dunerider Base Cost: 65 pts
  • x2 Cognis Heavy Stubber: 4 pts
  • 1x Twin Cognis Heavy Stubber: 4 pts

Total Cost: 73 pts

At 73 pts, this transport could definitely be fielding a competitive battlefield role. Especially if these are used to throw some Electro Priests up the board.

Skitarii Disintegrator

The Disintegrator is the shooty hovertank that trades in transport space for a couple of nice guns. One is great for popping Infantry and hitting targets out of LOS. The other is a cannon geared towards shaving wounds off of tanks at -3 AP and 3 damage flat. It’s important to note that the Disintegrator actually moves up to T7 (from the Dunerider’s T6) which gives a bit more staying power overall. Here’s the points.

  • Skorpis Disintegrator Base Cost: 85 pts (basically +20 pts for +1 Toughness)
  • x3 Cognis Heavy Stubbers: 6 pts
  • Disruptor Missile Launcher: 0 pts
  • Ferrumite Cannon:  25 pts
  • Belleros Energy Cannon: 20 pts

Total Cost with Ferrumite Cannon: 116 pts

Total Cost with Belleros Energy Cannon: 111 pts

Just breaking 100 pts, this thing might be a competitive option as well. It’s got plenty of dakka and has enough toughness and wounds to soak up some decent firepower if nothing else. One thing is for sure, they’re already in better standing over a regular Dreadnought. These are not only cheaper but could tear a Dread apart in a single round of shooting.

Overall, the point values on both Skitarii tank variants seem to be in a good spot. Only time will tell once enough playtesting has been done to see if they have a place in the meta. So what do you think about these tanks now that the points have been spotted? What will you be building first? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
