GW Announces Battle Sister VR Game For 2020

battle sister walGW just announced a brand new 40k VR game that’s on the way later in 2020 called Battle Sister, featuring everyone’s favorite warrior nuns.

Slipping under the radar from rumor mongers, Warhammer Community just announced a coming 40k VR game called Battle Sister. We’ve got a small gameplay video as well as some other details to cover so let’s dive in.

 …a massive online event for virtual reality and augmented reality – Battle Sister is a new video game for Oculus Quest and the brand new Oculus Quest 2 that puts you in the power armoured boots of one of the Adepta Sororitas.

battle sister 1Battle Sister is being developed by Pixel Toys, the multi-award-winning powerhouse behind hit games Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War.

battle sister 6Checking out some gameplay footage, it looks like you’ll be playing as a Battle Sister (who knew). Using a variety of different weapons. You can even dual wield. From fighting in trenches, cathedrals, and even on a mountain Rhino, you’ll be in charge of pushing back the forces of Chaos.

battle sister 7It looks like most of what you’ll be fighting is a mix of Cultists and Chaos Marines in closed and confined space like hallways and ruins to wide-open battle zones.

The Game Releases November 12, 2020

battle sister 8Launching on the 12th of November, Battle Sister will offer perhaps the most immersive experience of the 41st Millennium yet, while offering thrilling moment-to-moment gameplay. Master iconic weapons, strike down enemies with faith powers, face down horrifying foes – everything you could want from the first-ever Warhammer 40,000 VR game!

November 12th is right around the corner so you may want to start saving up to grab an Oculus gaming set!

battle sister 4We’ve only gotten a short look at a gameplay trailer for right now, but GW also showcased a Black Templars Intercessor and a Chaos Terminator as well. It’ll be interesting to see if you’ll be playing as a Battle Sister the entire time. Or if you’ll be taking place in different campaigns and switching through characters.

battle sister 5From what we can tell, the game is looking solid. Especially for diehard VR fans out there. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as we close in on the release date for the game. We’re sure we’ll be seeing more about it soon.
