Flintlock & a Bad Attitude: New GW Rumor Engine

Rumor Engine new GW header wal horPut your thinking caps on because there’s another bit to throw on the scales. This time, we’ve got a clear pic. But who’s holding it?

Warhammer Community revealed another rumor engine right on time and we’re left to think about what it could be for. This is one of those odd rumor engines where the mystery isn’t the bit itself, but who is holding it. Let’s go over the details.

Flintlock & A Bad Attitude: New GW Rumor Engine Spotted

rumor engine 8-25-2020So here’s the bit. It’s an old timey flintlock pistol back in the early days of firearms. With that said, that doesn’t mean it can’t fit right into an Adeptus Mechanicus army seamlessly. They’re all about that old tech. But one giveaway that makes us think this could be for something like Age of Sigmar is the hand that’s holding it.

If you look closely, you can see what looks like a fleshy knuckle and even a ring around the trigger finger. Going off of what we can see, there could be a Pirate-style model coming to AoS (or maybe even The Old World-but that’s super far away).

Was Captain Jack Sparrow secretly used as the inspiration for the bit? It looks like a clear copy/paste into model form!

Ultimately, we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for more previews in the days ahead. Just remember to keep a ringed hand holding a flintlock in the back of your mind as you’re watching future reveals.

What do you think this bit could go to? Would you like to see a pirate faction come to Age of Sigmar?
