It’s no secret anymore. We’ve got a first look at new models and rules on the way for Warcry that hobbyists had been hoping for! Check out the latest.
Warhammer Community made a surprise announcement on Warcry showcasing what the next wave of releases for the game will look like. In short, we’re getting a new book, terrain from the box, and even more models.
Azyrite Ruined Chapel
Starting off, the terrain out of the Warcry Starter Set is on the way namely called the Azyrite Ruined Chapel. This terrain set looks to be coming with all of the modular wall sections and staircases. However, going off of the cover picture alone, the spiked barricades may be something separate later down the line.
Tome of Champions 2019
What looks to be equivalent to 40k’s Chapter Approved, the Tome of Champions is going to have all of the information for all of the Warbands in-game.
you can look forward to a new book containing rules for all the warbands in the game (and much, much more besides!), meaning if you missed out on their faction cards, you’ll still be able to play with them.
Spire Tyrant Fighter Revealed
If you got a rulebook, you might have been flipping through the pages and found this symbol lying among the other playable Warbands. While a minor description was given for the faction, we had no idea what the models looked like.
However, GW revealed one of the models coming to the Warband as a teaser showcasing what looks to be a larger-than-normal dude wielding a two-handed axe in minimal armor. (Or really just where it counts). If these guys really are bigger and badder fighters, this might be a Warband with only a handful of models. They could be hard to take down but pack a mean punch. Especially if their background story describes them as Gladiators of Chaos.
Fomoroid Crusher Coming to Monsters & Mercenaries
As for the latest expansion into Warcry, Monsters and Mercenaries, another threat is about to hit the table. Branching past the popular Chimera, you’ll be able to throw in this ornery Fomoroid Crusher. He looks like an armored Cyclops ready to hurl stones at the closest thing that moves.
All in all, there are definitely more exciting times ahead in the realm of Warcry. The pace seems to be picking up for the game in terms of releases! What do you think about the newly previewed Warbands? What’s your favorite Warband to play? Do you use a Mercenary in your list?
