Seraphon just got their first FAQ since their book dropped. Check out the changes on the faction and see what you might have to rework in your army.
Warhammer Community dropped the Seraphon’s first FAQ since their book hit the shelves. If you’re stuck at home, read over all the changes that have been made. You may need to go back to the drawing board with your army on a few things.
We’ll be covering the highlights as well so make sure you read the full FAQ if Seraphon is your main faction.
GW Tickles Seraphon With NERF Bat in Latest FAQ
Be sure to look up how these things have been originally worded in your book. But as for changes, The Sage’s Staff only picks a single Seraphon Wizard in the hero phase.
Ripperdactyl Assault also took a hit making it so you can’t stack the same command ability on one unit and make them OP.
Stegadons had their wound degrading tweaked just a little bit with the Skink Chief also counting his Stegadon as a Mount now. The Mount keyword really only comes into play on a few buffs (where mounts aren’t usually affected) which is probably why that change was made.
The Engine of the Gods also had its profile broken down by crew, mount, and commander. (Again, probably because of combat keyword shenanigans). And the Balewind Vortex also can only be cast by smaller Wizards not already on a Balewind Vortex. That means no tornado masters guys.
Seraphon Designer’s Commentary
As for the designer’s commentary, things are pretty straightforward. However, they’re still important to note. Seraphon can’t take a regular and bound version of an endless spell in the same roster. That means you can’t have two Purple Suns you control on the table at a time.
For the Coalesced, they might have tough skin but mortal wounds will still get through.
Your Wizards can still do their thing inside the Realmshaper Engines. But if you cast something like the Balewind Vortex, you’ll have to de-garrison the terrain piece and float on the Balewind Vortex within 1″ of the Realmshaper Engine. Note, you don’t put the Balewind Vortex on top of the terrain piece.
As always, make sure you go over all the changes and questions asked for yourself.
With all of these changes made to the faction, has your list been nerfed? Will you be swapping a few units out for others now?
