Nevermore: New GW Rumor Engine Arrives

gw rumor engineA new rumor engine is here from GW and it looks like they may have pulled out an Edgar Allen Poe reference in this bit. Check out the latest.

Right on time, Warhammer Community dropped a rumor engine showing a mystery bit. While there’s nothing that blatantly shows the aesthetic of AoS or 40k, the lack of futuristic tech makes us think this will eventually turn up in a faction for Age of Sigmar.

Nevermore: New GW Rumor Engine Arrives

rumor engine 7-28-20So here’s the rumor engine. There’s a raven holding an old timey skeleton key perched on some rubble. The sheer lack of Aquilas and purity seals make us think that this could be something for Age of Sigmar.

harbinger of decayPlus, GW has been known to use the dark mysterious bird for dramatic effect in the past. Just look at the Harbinger of Decay for example.

Thinking of the factions in AoS where this bird could turn up is a little tricky. As Nurgle is an army based on rot (which also attracts birds to feast on the remains), they don’t have any association with keys. On that note, this could very well be a part of a new faction that’ll be coming eventually. Right now, we just have to keep our eyes peeled for more thematic clues in future rumor engines as time goes on.

What do you think about this rumor engine? Could you see this actually fitting in 40k?
