Frontline Gaming is known to put on a good show, and with them being in Denver, there will be plenty to do in your downtime. This year, they’ll be running Warhammer 40k, AoS, Star Wars Legion, and Shatterpoint tournaments!
This year, it’s running from March 16th-17th, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. The fairground is pretty close to the airport as well if you’re flying in!
Rocky Mountain Open 2024 Tickets are Live!
Before we take a look at the tournaments, let’s take a look at the location they’re being held at. The RMO is going to be at the same place as last year, the Adams County Fairground, which looks pretty stunning. Here is what they have to say about the lodging and food:
The Rocky Moutain Open is following in the footsteps of one of Frontline Gaming’s most beloved events, the SoCal Open, in being hosted at a fairgrounds complex outside of the inner city. This makes it both an escape from the craziness and also provides us with ample room to expand the event as it grows over the years. The Adams County Fairground was precisely chosen because not only is the Exhibit Hall extremely comfortable with all the requisite facilities, but it is also less than 20 minutes away from the Denver International Airport and will allow attendees to completely avoid the metropolitan traffic the region can be known for. We are working with several food trucks to ensure there is an awesome assortment of grub served each day directly out the front door of our hall, but players are more than welcome to brown bag their lunch if that is preferred. There will be a full service bar in the hall both days so you can stay properly hydrated and we have gotten very affordable prices locked in for the weekend!
There is no hotel directly attached to the fairgrounds but there are several great options within a short drive. Orchard Town Center about 15-20 minutes away has several hotels close by and is a nice shopping area with plenty of places for dinner. Our local community organizers are working on coordinating an after party for Saturday night at a brewery attached to this town center that not only will have plenty of space for us but also has arcade games and pinball! Rocky Mountain Open 2024 – 40k Championships: $105
This two day Warhammer 40K event will take place over Saturday and Sunday. Everyone will play 3 rounds on Saturday and 3 rounds on Sunday. This is a matched play competitive event but all players are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Rocky Mountain Open 2024 – Age of Sigmar Championships: $100
This two day Warhammer Age of Sigmar event will take place over Saturday and Sunday. There will be a total of 6 rounds played to determine our champion. This is a matched play competitive event but all players are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Rocky Mountain Open 2024 – Star Wars Shatterpoint Tournament: $35
This two day Star Wars: Shatterpoint tournament will take place over Saturday and Sunday. It will follow a competitive format but all are welcome to play in this fun event!
Rocky Mountain Open 2024 – Star Wars Legion Weekend Pass: $70
This Star Wars Legion Weekend Pass grants you access to play in all Star Wars Legion events over the Saturday and Sunday that the Rocky Mountain Open takes place.
Main Event – 5 rounds of Swiss pairings, standard 800pt games. 3 games on Saturday, 2 games on Sunday. This event is perfect for players of all skill levels and should be great practice for those headed to worlds.
There is also a Chaos Bracket for Sunday only, two rounds. For those looking to spice it up and have some fun, they will hold a two-round chaos bracket featuring random lists from legionrandomizer.com.
Players can switch from the main event to the chaos bracket or just sign up for the chaos bracket if they prefer.
