Looncurse was just the beginning apparently. Word on the street is that severe allocations are on the way for Games Workshop’s new releases in May!
Games Workshop has a bunch of exciting new releases on the way. Whether it’s Kill Team with three new named teams and terrain or a host of new endless spells usable by anyone in AoS, there’s something for just about everyone. However, new rumors today that just like Looncurse you may have a hard time getting them…
Remember these are just rumors until we see it go down…
May New Releases Are Going to be Heavily Allocated
According to an industry insider, the next releases (i.e Kill Team Elites, Forbidden Power, AoS Terrain, etc.) will be heavily allocated.
What does that mean? What it essentially could mean that there’s only going to be a very limited number shipped to stores and that’ll probably be all they get for a while. If you aren’t one of the first people to get your hands on a set, it could be months before GW catches up with the demand. You’ll just have to wait or hope you can snipe something online. This is really nothing new…
We’ve Seen This Before With The Looncurse Box Set
Looncurse update: While it is currently sold out from GW there are still some available on Amazon for a premium price.
While demand is always high for GW’s Box Sets one of the most recent disappointments came from the Looncurse Box Set. The models inside are incredible and are exciting for a huge portion of AoS fans. However, the demand was higher than expected and along with some other issues, even some people who pre-ordered their boxes didn’t get one. Save yourself the wait and worry and pre-order what you want ahead of time. While it may be no guarantee you’ll get one right away, you’ll at least be moving to the front of the line.
If allocations are indeed the case with these releases we’re hopeful that this is only because of budget forecast restraints going into the final weeks of GW’s fiscal year which ends on May 31st. It’s probable that their new manufacturing expansion in the UK and distribution upgrades in Memphis, TN here in the states will be completed for the 2019 holiday season.
Allocations like this may become a thing of the past going forward…
