Do you want to talk about some firepower?  Take a look at this Astra Militarium hammer regiment, that not only looks good but hits hard as well.

Check out this exceptional looking Imperial Guard army by Jonathan Geiger, that’s got some serious character to every model. It’s packed with heavy hitters and extreme mobility.

The “Bear Force” as it is affectionately named, is not only a labor of hobby love but a high performing competitive 2k ITC army.

Looking at this army, the first thing that draws the eye is the LED lights in every cockpit. It adds that extra level of detail that even airbrushing glow-effects can’t pull off. The desert camouflage mixed with the old black weathering really makes it look like these guys have been out in the field for a while.

Even the Marauders took a hit to the wing. They don’t really care because they’re literally a flying fortress.

These were done by me personally, I am Jonathan Geiger, known as “Bear” here in Central Florida. I do alot of commission conversion and paint work now including wiring with LED lights. Each of these aircraft has a push button integrated into their hull that allows the activation and deactivation of the cockpit lights, with separate switches for the fires on the larger planes to indicate degrading in game. The LED’s are all 5mm, with 3v switches powered by watch batteries.

The Tactics of the List

The list itself looks like it capitalizes on extreme firepower and sacrifices a major board presence. After the Stormraven spam at tournaments at the beginning of 8th, Flyers don’t count towards your models on the table.

The tank needs tail lights to let the Guardsmen behind him know that HE’S PUTTING IT IN REVERSE, TERRY!

This list is designed to hit you hard and cripple you before you really get the chance to start scooping models off the board. Of course, a Shadowsword is there for good measure. It’s not too easy focusing down a tank the size of Walmart when you’ve got a literal swarm of jets overhead.

The list may not be able to hold too many objectives, but the opponent probably won’t be around long enough for that to matter.

All in all, this Guardsman army makes the Emperor proud. There’s a realistic camo with weathering that makes these guys look just like they were camping out in a desert basin for the past month. Great job hobbying!

What do you think about the paint scheme? What about the list in general?
