1st Place: Stu Angel – Genestealer Cults Army Lists
At the Heroes of the Mid Table Fall GT, Stu’s Genestealer Cult army didn’t just creep out of the shadows—it burst forth with a perfectly orchestrated display of chaos and precision. This wasn’t your average cult uprising; Stu’s list was a tactical masterpiece, leveraging clever tricks, rugged vehicles, and a whole lot of sneaky firepower to claim the top spot.
Stu’s list was led by a Clamavus, a unit that might not scream “leader” but proved invaluable by forcing battle shock tests across the battlefield. In a game where morale can make or break a strategy, the Clamavus ensured that opponents spent a lot of time reconsidering their life choices.
The heavy lifting in the leadership department came from three Kelermorphs. These gunslinging nightmares are as deadly as they are cost-efficient, bringing a hail of pinpoint-accurate firepower that can shred key enemy units in a blink. Think of them as the cult’s answer to precision strikes—only with a lot more style and six-shooters.
Rounding out the leadership was a Saboteur, whose free grenades and mortal wound output added some literal explosive flair to the list. This sneaky specialist was perfect for disrupting enemy plans, making every turn a little more chaotic for Stu’s opponents.
On the ground, Stu’s army featured six units of Acolyte Hybrids, which brought solid weapons and a touch of melee capability to the battlefield. These units were versatile enough to handle a variety of threats while staying cost-effective.
Joining them were two units of Neophyte Hybrids, which added even more bodies to the list at a lower cost. These cultists might not be the toughest or flashiest, but they’re excellent for holding objectives and making sure the enemy has to work hard to clear the board.
To keep things moving (and protected), Stu included two Goliath Trucks. These transports aren’t just there to ferry troops—they’re also mobile fortresses that can provide solid protection and fire support while ensuring key units get where they need to go.
Backing them up were three Ridgerunners and three Atalan Jackals, adding some much-needed speed and firepower. Ridgerunners bring a surprising punch for their size, capable of harassing enemy units or holding key areas with ease. The Jackals, meanwhile, are all about mobility, zipping across the battlefield and causing headaches for opponents trying to pin down Stu’s forces.
For the final touch, Stu brought in two Goliath Rockgrinders, heavy-duty vehicles that added durability and serious close-range threats. These rugged war machines aren’t just about soaking up hits—they’re also great at getting up close and personal with enemy units, ensuring they feel the cult’s wrath in full force.
2nd Place: Garry Sacco – Black Templars Army Lists
3rd Place: Mike Garcia – Adeptus Custodes Army Lists
Overall, Stu’s Genestealer Cult list wasn’t just sneaky—it was smart, balanced, and relentlessly aggressive. The Kelermorphs provided pinpoint firepower, the Clamavus and Saboteur sowed disruption and chaos, and the mix of Hybrids, Ridgerunners, Rockgrinders, and Jackals created a mobile force that could adapt to any challenge.
These top army lists from Heroes Of The Mid Table Fall GT are a reminder that the Genestealer Cults can win if built with every unit having a purpose and every move is part of a grand strategy. With a little bit of finesse, they can hold their own against even the deadliest Black Templars and Adeptus Custodes.
The performance of these armies serves as a testament to the ever-evolving nature of the competitive Warhammer 40k meta. Studying these winning army lists for their tactical synergies provides valuable insights for honing your strategic approach.
