1st Place: Patryk Maik – Adeptus Mechanicus Army Lists
At the Autumn I.T.T., Patryk’s Adeptus Mechanicus army didn’t just win—it calculated victory down to the decimal point. This wasn’t a list that relied on brute force or sheer numbers; it was a finely tuned symphony of cogwork precision, mobility, and devastating firepower.
With Belisarius Cawl leading the charge and a mix of deadly troops and relentless machines, Patryk’s army showed why the Omnissiah always has the last word. Let’s break it down for both tech-priests and newcomers alike.
No Adeptus Mechanicus list is complete without the legendary Belisarius Cawl at its helm. This ancient techno-wizard doesn’t just look intimidating—he backs it up with a surprising melee punch and an aura that grants hit re-rolls and cover bonuses to his allies. Cawl isn’t just a leader; he’s a walking fortress of logic, machinery, and pure, unrelenting efficiency.
Backing up Cawl were two Manipulus Priests, bringing invulnerable saves and lethal hits to the party. These priests aren’t just here for the chants and incense—they’re essential for keeping the Mechanicus forces running at peak performance while making sure the enemy learns why you don’t mess with the Omnissiah’s chosen.
Two Technoarcheologists rounded out the leadership, adding decent bodies to the mix while boosting Objective Secured for their accompanying units. These aren’t your average bookish scientists—they’re battlefield engineers who know how to keep a squad fighting (and claiming objectives) no matter what.
Two units of Rangers paired up with the Technoarcheologists to create the backbone of Patryk’s list. These basic troops might not seem flashy, but they’re dependable, laying down fire and holding objectives with the kind of stubborn determination that only comes from devotion to the Omnissiah.
To keep things moving, Patryk added a single Dunerider, a versatile transport that helps shuffle troops to key locations early in the game. It’s a simple but effective choice, ensuring that the Rangers or other infantry can hit their marks while avoiding early-game threats.
The real muscle of Patryk’s list came from three units of Ironstriders, the walking artillery pieces of the Adeptus Mechanicus. These leggy war machines combine mobility and firepower in a package that’s as terrifying as it is efficient. Whether targeting enemy elites, vehicles, or infantry, Ironstriders are like the sniper rifle equivalent of a tank—they hit hard, move fast, and always seem to be where you don’t want them.
For some close-range punch, Patryk included a unit of Kataphron Breachers, the half-man, half-tank hybrids that lumber into the thick of combat with heavy weapons and plenty of armor. These mini-tanks aren’t here to mess around; they’re there to hold the line and hit anything that comes close with overwhelming firepower.
Three units of Pteraxii Skystalkers added some airborne flair. These cybernetic fliers brought mobility and harassment potential at a surprisingly low cost, giving Patryk’s army a fast-moving element to grab objectives, pressure the enemy, or simply distract from the heavy hitters stomping around below.
And because mobility is the name of the game, Patryk also brought a unit of Sterylizors, those fiery flying nightmares that can burn through enemy lines with alarming efficiency. Paired with the Skystalkers, they added a whole new level of versatility to the army.
Finally, the list closed with two units of Infiltrators, the stealthy cyborg assassins that can disrupt enemy plans while holding their own in combat. These units added a hint of unpredictability to the army, ensuring that no matter where the fight took place, Patryk’s forces had an answer.
