Over the Top Warhammer 40k Armies At Warzone Atlanta
Warzone Atlanta war a heaping helping of good vibes for the soul of the Hobby. If you couldn’t make it down to the event, we’ve got a first-hand recap for you.
Join us today as we dive into a gorgeous Khorne army spotted at the tournament.
Khorne’s Blood Pact
Khorne’s chosen fighters were mustered to claim skulls at Warzone Atlanta! Daemons and mortals linked arms to claim skulls for the Skull Throne.
If you didn’t know it, Bloodletters make fantastic blenders. Most importantly, the sheer amount of attacks combined with high AP are able to shred screens in one go.
With all of the Knights running around in the meta, a Lord of Skulls was brought as an anti-armor insurance policy. With enemy infantry getting mulched in Daemon swords and chain axes, the Lord of Skulls was able to roll right up to enemy armor and devastate it completely.
The detailing on the Lord of Skulls is absolutely stunning. There are even crisp bubbling effects in the vats on the back.
Of course, Daemon Princes are just too good to pass up in 8th edition and it would only be fitting if he were standing on a mound of skulls.
Once the Khorne Berzerkers connected with the enemy units, things got worse. You’d be surprised what a single Berzerker with a power fist can do to a tank when it gets to fight twice every turn. In other words, they are a one-man can opener.
Kudos to the player with this beautifully painted army for playing a melee list in a shooting-heavy meta. Not only does the list look effective, but the detailing on every model is above and beyond. You’ve made Khorne proud!
