It’s been a few weeks now since the 2015 X-Wing world championships happened. As we’d expect Paul Heaver dominated and took 1st place again. But how do the top lists work, are they fun to play with? Do they play well in casual games? Here at The Plastic Crack Blog, we gave them a go.
The third installment of the new series 12 Parsecs or Less where we play the Star Wars X-Wing Miniature Game.
This mission is standard tournament rules consisting of a 100pt dog fight between the rebels and scum and villainy.
Fleet Lists:
Nathan Eide’s 2nd Place Rebels:
The original list was
- Corran Horn + R2-D2 + Engine Upgrade + Push The Limit + Fire Control Systems;
- Poe Dameron + Veteran Instincts + Autothrusters + R5-P9
- Prototype Pilot + Chardaan Refit
and was modified in this game to
- Poe Dameron + R2D2 + marksmanship
- Corran Horn + Fire control system
- Y-Wing with Ion Cannon (it was meant to be an Ion turret but I picked up the wrong card)
Jesper Hill’s Scum and Villany:
- IG-88B + Push The Limit +Advance Sensors + Mangler Cannon + Title
- IG-88C, Push The Limit + Advance Sensors + Title + Heavy Laser Cannon
