Barik Farblast is a really fun remake of an old star player, but the new Blood Bowl FAQ might be more important!
If you need someone who can throw, (well, he doesn’t really throw) Barik might just be the perfect star player for you! We’ve seen a lot of really big players lately, so it’s nice to see them mixing it up.
Then, the new Blood Bowl FAQ actually has a lot of changes in it. They are also going to be reassessing every team every 6 months to keep the game as balanced as possible. We’ll cover some of the changes, but since there is so much inside, you can download the full FAQ here.
Warhammer Community unveiled the new mini and the schedule for the FAQs coming for Blood Bowl. Let’s check out the mini then hop into the FAQ.
Barik Farblast
He’s so skilled at blasting the ball out of his cannon that he can accurately on-point Hail Mary Passes from all the way across the pitch, and he’s accurate enough to be able to reroll the scatter dice once per game. He can play for the Halfling Thimble Cup, the Old World Classic, and the Worlds Edge Superleague, which might finally make that Dwarf throwing game attainable!
How can any other thrower match a bazooka? They can’t, that’s how! It’s just a super fun mini and who doesn’t want to blast the ball downfield?
Veteran coaches may remember Barik’s first appearance in metal from way back in the murky mists of 1988, but don’t go digging for your old rulebook – his updated rules are included in the pack, alongside a highly detailed new Forge World miniature cast in resin.
It’s always fun to see the updated minis from such old sculpts. If you still have the ’88 mini laying around, might as well play them both!
Blood Bowl FAQ
The new update schedule is going to be every 6 months now, with the next update coming in May.
As we said, the FAQ is pretty extensive this time around, so you can download it all here. Some big changes though are with the star players, as the better-performing ones are going up in GP.
Orks and Humans are going to tier 2 while the Underworld Denizens are moving up to tier 1. Lastly, the Swarm rule is grabbing a lot of changes. Now instead of just bringing Snotlings from reserve, they have to start the game on the board.
So overall some good changes!
