Come-out and support one the Long War’s own in a 40k charity tournament to help raise money for Juice’s dad Mike.

This is a great tournament to benefit Juices Dad Mike’s battle with cancer. It all kicks off Saturday July 18th at Hit Point Hobbies in Aberdeen NC.
Please come out and play in the great event if you can. It would mean a lot to us here if you’re in a position to help a great father, and member of the Southern Pines NC community.

The 1776 – Fight for Mike

Warhammer 40k – Tournament

July 18, 2015 9:30

One of our store patrons and long time 40k players, Stephen Fore (Juice) is responsible for establishing the 40k presence at Hit Point. He is also a contributing member of the 40k Podcast, Forge The Narrative. His father, Mike Fore, has been diagnosed with cancer and Hit Point Hobbies would like to support Juice and his family by using our annual 1776 tournament to help raise money to help with the mounting medical fees.

The 4th annual 1776 is a tournament as follows.

  • 1776 Points.
  • 3 Rounds, 2 hours 40 minutes per round

I am going to be looking for feedback on how to handle entry fees and other ways to help generate money for our cause. We have also had some people volunteer some painted models for auction, etc. I will update this post, as well as post a rules packet, as we get closer to the date.
Please put this on your calendar folks and we hole to see you there.

If you can’t make it to the event and would still like to help, Juice has a Go Fund Me Account set up for his father as well.
The Fore Family would love your support either in person at the event or at the link above. Remember folks there IS more to life than plastic toy soldiers! 🙂
