Essential Hobby Products & Tools List
Sure, we’ve seen a few new Heresy models here and there over the past weeks, however, GW just revealed a brand new Emperor’s Children model on the way to Horus Heresy. Meet Saul Tarvitz.
If you were holding out for some unique HQ options for your 40k and Heresy games you might not have to wait too much longer.
GW Previews Two New Word Bearer Praetors For 30k
First up is another look at the Word Bearers preview from early April:
The Space Marine Legions each have characterful Praetors to lead their armies, and these sinister fellows are exactly who you’d expect to see plotting alongside Zardu Layak or leading the Gal Vorbak into battle. Of course, as everyone knows, the Word Bearers were heretics before it was cool, meaning both these models will make cracking additions to a Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Space Marines army too!
We’ve seen Praetors come to the White Scars, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels more recently and it looks like Word Bearers are next.
But even if you don’t play 30k, you can always use these guys as a Lord/Dark Apostle. From rune-inscribed armor to burning candles on their mantle, these dudes look sweet.
Emperor’s Children Get Some Love in Horus Heresy: New Saul Tarvitz Model
Saul Tarvitz was one of the first-ever named Horus Heresy Space Marines (along with Garro and Varren, in 1988’s Space Marine rulebook), and his appearances in Black Library’s Horus Heresy novels only cemented his popularity. His death** at Isstvan III after he led a disparate army of Imperial loyalists in defiance of Horus’ betrayal made him a legend – and now you can bring that legend to your games of The Horus Heresy.
While this guy might be specifically for games of 30k. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t make an outstanding Chaos Lord for the Emperor’s Children in 40k. That head would also make a great Blood Angels Smash Captain conversion piece!
