GW may have thrown hobbyists a hidden bone in a Genestealer Cult preview from a while back. What may be hiding in plain sight now?
Games Workshop has been giving the Genestealer Cults the spotlight here lately, and now there may be even more on the way. In a preview showcasing a new character, there looks to also be some new Genestealer models!

A New Genestealer Kit Lurking in a Preview?
This photo was meant to show off the Sanctus assassin model coming to the Cult. However, behind him is a horde of Genestealers that looks to be completely new!
Of course, they are still Genestealers so the change is going to be subtle…but looks at their arms specifically. Their chitin plating looks a lot more jagged and spiked. The Scything Talons look like they’ve gotten a lot thicker with different ridges and layers added on.

You can tell right away that the arms appear, from this angle, to be completely different. The Genestealers available currently have thinner arms with no jagged forearm chitin, unlike what was spotted next to the Sanctus. Not only that, but the Scything Talons from the preview are much longer and curve a bit more.
From what we can tell, the heads and rending claws look to be the same as the current Genestealers. Though, it’s difficult to say if different, that these Genestealer models are even the same size as the current ones. The Scything talons look a bit bigger, but that doesn’t mean the models are getting scaled up with them either.
We all know what wave one of the Genestealer Cult releases look like. Keep your eyes peeled for wave two! We still have to see the Ridgerunner (and possibly a few more)!
