3D Printing & Conversion Policy For Warhammer Tournaments
By now, you probably want to know if you can use 3d printed Warhammer models in tournaments,
So, Games Workshop is basically saying you can design and print your own bits—go wild! But, they’re also throwing down a challenge: prove where those bits came from, or they might ask you to say bye-bye if there’s any confusion.
GW also uses that same policy to determine if your conversions are legal in their Warhammer tournaments according to these key principles:
- Each model must be Citadel or Forge World miniatures
- Each miniature must be fully assembled
- Each miniature must be painted to a minimum battle-ready standard (including bases)
- Each miniature must accurately represent its entry on your army roster
- Conversions must be checked in advance with the events team to ensure they are appropriate for organized play
The great news is that as long as it fits your theme, you’re absolutely welcome to convert your models. The majority of the model will need to meet the above criteria, and you’re all set!
If you’re scratching your head about your models or parts, just hit up your local game store, tournament organizer, or the event planner for non-GW tournaments. Many of those independent events are more about having fun and less about stressing over a few 3D prints or random components—after all, we all know those players put in the hobby time!
Warhammer 40k & AoS ITC, UKGT Tournaments: 2024, 2025
Check out the current ITC leaders and past winners here! Here’s more on the must-attend Warhammer 40k tournaments and events to put on your calendar for 2024, 2025:
Nottingham GT– February 2025
The Nottingham Super-Major stands tall as one of the UK’s biggest gaming Warhammer tournaments for 2024, 2025, rivaled only by the legendary LGT. Nestled in the heart of Britain’s Wargaming scene, this epic showdown brings a mix of intense competition, unforgettable matchups, and the kind of camaraderie that keeps players coming back for more.
Cherokee Open– February 2025
Veteran gamers from all walks of life say that the Cherokee Open is their absolute favorite event of the year, and it’s easy to see why. This retreat-style shindig perfectly marries Warhammer tournament community vibes with fierce competition, making for an epic weekend of fun!
Nestled in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains on the Cherokee Reservation, this event is the ultimate weekend escape. When you’re not rolling dice, you and your crew can kick back and enjoy the resort’s many delights – from bowling alleys and bars to a cozy fireside patio, a massive casino, and a smorgasbord of dining options.
International Team Tournament – February 2025
Twice the space, twice the fun! This year, they’re not just taking over one massive hall—they’ve got two, making this a can’t-miss Warhammer tournament for 2024, 2025! That means more breathing room around the tables, more players, and the chance to claim the title of the biggest team tournament in the world.
AdeptiCon- March 2025
AdeptiCon is one of the biggest tabletop gaming conventions out there, and it grew 20% from 2023 to 2024 (and we expect the Warhammer tournaments to grow from 2024 to 2025), so it’s time for a move. Illinois will no longer host the convention, as a move up in size from the current convention center doesn’t seem feasible to stay there.
However, it’s not too far of a move, and going to a new city will be a fun change of pace. Most of the GW games sell out very quickly, especially the Warhammer 40k tournaments for 2024, 2025, so if you want to play any of them, get them early and don’t wait!
The Manchester GT – March 2025
Ready to channel your inner warlord? The Manchester GT is calling, and it’s the ultimate arena for Warhammer fans. Expect a weekend packed with epic battles, tactical genius, and a whole lot of camaraderie. As the North’s largest Warhammer tournament, it’s where hundreds of players gather to duke it out for bragging rights and glory.
Rocky Mountain Open– March 2025
The Rocky Mountain Open is following the lead of Frontline Gaming’s fan-favorite, the SoCal Open, by being hosted at a fairgrounds complex away from the city chaos. This spot is the perfect getaway and gives plenty of room for the event to grow year after year.
The Adams County Fairground was handpicked for its comfy Exhibit Hall and top-notch facilities, plus it’s just under 20 minutes from Denver International Airport. Attendees can dodge all that notorious city traffic to get into the Warhammer tournament mindset.
Sheffield GT – April 2025
Tactical Showdowns Galore: Get ready for gripping matches that put your strategy and skill to the ultimate test. Whether you’re a battle-hardened pro or a fresh face eager to make a mark, the Sheffield GT is the ideal battleground to prove you’ve got what it takes.
USA Charity Cup– April 2025
The USA Charity Cup isn’t just any tournament—it’s a full-on battle for a good cause! This high-stakes Green Banner 40K Major was created to fuel the U.S. Wargames Federation’s mission: backing Team USA and boosting wargaming across the country.
Bay Area Open– May 2025

Our format is designed to keep the chaos in check, ensuring matchups that are as balanced and clear-cut as possible.
Bristol GT – June 2025
This COLOSSAL event is back at the fantastic UWE venue, ready to host up to 500 players across Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Horus Heresy. The Stage Is Set: Gear up for intense clashes that will put your strategy and skills to the test.

Atlantic City Open– June 2025
The ACO is FLG’s big East Coast bash. With its stunning hall, swanky casino resort, and iconic Atlantic City beachside boardwalk, this is a weekend that’ll be etched in your memory! The Atlantic City Open takes place at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, right next to Harrah’s Atlantic City Resort and Casino.
The resort has it all—an amazing pool, numerous bars, and restaurants, and it’s just a short drive from the famous Atlantic City Beach. Plus, the Harrah’s Hotel is conveniently attached to the convention center for the Warhammer tournaments in 2024, 2025!
The Leeds GT – July 2025
The Leeds GT is making waves in the UK tournament scene, bringing the action to a fantastic venue with space for hundreds of players across Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and more.
Silver State Major– July 2025
This six-round Warhammer 40K grand tournament, hosted by Green Banner Event Co., is bringing top-tier competition right to the heart of Reno. But it’s not just about the games—expect epic social events, killer after-parties, and plenty of chances to kick back with fellow Warhammer fanatics. If you live in the Northeastern US, this is a great event with a ton of different games represented! This year, the event will take place from August 28th to September 1st. Tickets are already on sale, and some games have sold out, so don’t wait any longer to lock in your Warhammer tournament.
London GT – September, 2025
The London Grand Tournament (LGT) is the iconic event that launched the UK wargaming scene into high gear. With a storied history and unmatched reputation, the LGT isn’t just an event—it’s a showcase of strategy, skill, and the unwavering spirit of the gaming community.
Hosted annually in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic cities, the LGT is the crown jewel of European wargaming and the second-largest event of its kind globally. It’s where brilliant tacticians and fierce competitors collide, forging alliances, sparking rivalries, and crafting tales of glory to be shared with friends—both old and new—for years to come.
Challengers Cup– September 2025
Every year, clubs from across the country—and even beyond—send their top 8 champions to throw down for ultimate glory in the Challengers Cup. This isn’t just any tournament; it’s the biggest 8-person team event in the USA, built entirely by the community for the community.
And despite its massive scale, we’re keeping things top-notch—expect gorgeous, functional terrain on every table and pro-level judge support to keep the games running smoothly. Sure, it’s a high-stakes competition, but this event isn’t just about winning—it’s about celebrating every part of the hobby in style!

August Warhammer World 40k Tournaments Events for 2025
The Realm of Life is about to get absolutely trampled. Armies from all over the Mortal Realms are stomping their way into Ghyran, ready to turn its peaceful green fields into a chaotic mud wrestling match — with swords, monsters, and way too much shouting. It’s all going down over two days of full-on Warhammer Age of Sigmar mayhem, and you’ve got options: throw dice on Saturday, Sunday, or go all-in for both.
Now, you might be asking: What in Alarielle’s name is the Scourge of Ghyran? Good question. We’re keeping that under wraps for now — think of it as the mysterious plot twist in a drama with a lot more axes. But don’t worry, we’ll be leaking details faster than a Skaven sabotage job as the event gets closer.
Each day features three games at 2,000 points, so bring your best list and maybe a backup ego. Lunch is included — because plastic warriors aren’t the only ones who need fuel. Prizes will be flying for performance on the battlefield, excellent sportsmanship, and painting that makes the Realm of Life look like the Realm of Style. Mark your calendars for August 9th!
The biggest, baddest Blood Bowl bash in Warhammer World history is back — and it’s bringing the chaos with it. Brace yourself for brutal tackles, outrageous touchdowns, and a whole lot of dice-fueled drama at the Full Beard Cup. You’ll be throwing down in five games across two days of full-throttle Blood Bowl madness, with lunch sorted and free entry to the exhibition hall tossed in for good measure.
Think you’ve got what it takes to coach your way to glory? Or maybe your painting skills could win over the crowd? Whether you’re a strategic genius, a hobby hero, or just the nicest player in the room, there are awards up for grabs in coaching, painting, and sportsmanship — so bring your A-game and your best game face.
Heads up, commander — enemy operatives have slipped into the Warhammer World zone, and it’s up to your kill team to sniff them out and ruin their day. This two-day Kill Team showdown is packed with tactical skirmishes, covert shenanigans, and five rounds of pulse-pounding action. It’s the perfect excuse to roll dice, make new friends, and maybe blow something up (on the tabletop, of course).
You’ll get lunch on both days to keep your energy levels high and your trigger finger steady. And to wrap things up, there’s a pub quiz to test whether your brain’s as sharp as your blade. Bring your best tactics, your best banter, and maybe a few extra rerolls — you’re gonna need ’em.
Throne of Skulls is Warhammer World’s chill tournament series — less cutthroat, more roll-dice-and-have-a-laugh. This time, it’s packing its bags for the World of Legend for a weekend of doubles action that’s all about teamwork and good times.
Grab a buddy, build your 1,000-point armies, and tag-team your way through five games of Warhammer: The Old World with style, sass, and maybe a few sneaky tactics. Lunch is included to keep the energy up, and there are plenty of prizes on the line — not just for crushing your enemies, but for looking good doing it.
Sharpen those blades and rally your deadliest operatives — Kill Team: Strategic Operations is coming in hot for a one-day midweek showdown. It’s fast, it’s fierce, and it’s your chance to cause some serious chaos in a tight, tactical setting.
You’ll squeeze in a full day of skirmish action, with prizes up for grabs for top-tier commanders, slick paint jobs, and good vibes on the battlefield. So clear your schedule, prep your squad, and get ready to throw down — it’s going to be a wild one.
Love your Blood Bowl fast, violent, and gloriously chaotic? Thought so. Time to lace up those boots and hit the pitch for a wild one-day tournament packed with carnage, comedy, and the kind of dice rolls that make you question your life choices.
Expect shattered helmets, flying fists, and at least one Blitzer who somehow flubs a three-dice block and knocks themselves out — because, of course, they do. It’s brutal, it’s bonkers, and it’s exactly how Blood Bowl was meant to be played.
