GW’s latest Warhammer rumor engine preview is clearly a Trident, but there isn’t any iconography, maybe for Idoneth Deepkin or Drukhari?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed. Let’s take a look and try to guess until then!
Rumor Engine: January 21st, 2025
The newest rumor engine is clearly a trident, and Deepkin has plenty of models with similar weapons. That makes new characters, troops, or even an exclusive mini all on the table!
That being said, other factions are still possible, like Dark Eldar (Drukhari), Alpha Legion, even some seafaring Dark Aelves in the Old World, or off-the-wall releases like Kill Team, Warcry, and the like.
While Tridents might not be all over the place, they are very related to the sea, and there is only really one faction in AoS, Idoneth Deepkin, and one in 40k, Alpha Legion, that exists in Warhammer right now that fits that bill!
Still, though… who knows? Curve balls happen, and specialist games usually get some super unique models. We will have to wait and see!
