If you are a fan of the Horus Heresy, this free download gives you a reason to pick up some of the new Zone Mortalis terrain for Necromunda Dark Uprising.
Warhammer Community announced that Zone Mortalis just got a free downloadable PDF containing updated rules to go along with the new plastic Zone Mortalis kits that are on the way.
Let’s take a look at the latest:
Zone Mortalis Comes With Necromunda
Coming from @wagamingdave, we first saw the early pricing revealed for what’s ahead.
The spotlight of all these releases might be the Necromunda Zone Mortalis boards coming from GW instead of FW. Both entries for Zone Mortalis are nestled in between the other Necromunda goodies on the list. Plus, let’s face it. Necromunda is the perfect game for this terrain to be re-introduced.
The recently-previewed Dark Rising Box Set for Necromunda looks to be coming at a whopping $290 price tag. This is Adeptus Titanicus-level pricing for just two factions and some terrain. However, if you’re a fan of Zone Mortalis on the side, there might be some extra incentive on grabbing this box.
GW Announces Zone Mortalis Rules Download
Of course, what would go better with new rules than new terrain? This weekend sees the release of the Zone Mortalis Floor Tile Set, as well as Necromunda: Dark Uprising, which includes so much terrain that you might need to call in a Stormbird to get the box home.
While the combination of kits is designed to represent a lightless underhive, they could easily be used to create tangled mines, prison vaults of fortress-citadels or sacred catacombs for the Horus Heresy era.
There are also two new missions – Assault features one army desperately trying to sabotage vital systems deep within the Zone Mortalis while Encounter represents two hostile forces advancing through unknown ground.
The download is full of unique special rules for all Zone Mortalis games including preset missions, deployments, etc. Check out the details for free and get those Zone Mortalis boards ready!
