New Miniatures Game is Perfect for 40k Orks Players

Smash, loot, and wobble your way through Space Gits, the new dice-flicking miniatures skirmish game that is perfect for 40k Orks players.

If you’ve ever looked at your Ork army and thought, “These lads need fewer tactics and more beer,” then Space Gits is your kind of game. Mike Hutchinson, known for Gaslands, has cooked up a dice-flicking, beer-cap-grabbing, rules-light riot that leans into the spirit of greenskin mayhem.

With support from Kromlech and art by Tyler Russo and Till Förster, this dexterity-based miniature skirmish game doesn’t take itself seriously—and that’s exactly the point. And with terrain, minis, and accessories ready to drop straight into the madness, there’s never been a better excuse to turn your hobby space into a wrecked Ork barfight.

Here’s what you need to know about Space Gits.

What’s the Deal With Space Gits?

Space Gits is a fast-paced tabletop miniatures game for 2 to 5 players. It mixes chaotic dice-flicking movement, rock-paper-scissors combat, and tabletop carnage in the wreckage of a ruined Ork city. You’re not out to save anyone.

You’re here to cause trouble, grab loot, and see who can remain standing (or upright-ish) by the end. Each model has a pile of dice representing how wobbly they are. Tip over your stack? Your Ork hits the dirt until someone gives them a motivational boot to the ribs.

The Kromlech orcs sculpted for Space Gits are rough, rowdy, and dripping with personality. They’ve got cigars, flight jackets, chef hats, and more swagger than they can carry. Pair that with Trenchworx’s new gritty trench-themed Orks like Goobertown and you’ve got a lineup that’s built for this kind of game.

Covered in gear, masks, and tattered uniforms, these gitz look like they’ve just stumbled out of a meat grinder and straight into a tavern brawl.

What’s in the Rulebook?

You’re not just getting slapstick rules and dice flicking. Space Gits packs in a full campaign system with rules for loot, injuries, criminal records, and even vehicles. Want to drink and cause carnage in 28mm scale? This is the game. And yes, you can play it as a drinking game too. Hutchinson even released the core mechanics under a Creative Commons license, so you can remix, mod, or meme it into your own riotous ruleset.

Affordable and Easy to Start

This is a miniatures-agnostic game. A single box of Ork Boyz from Warhammer 40k gives you more than enough models for two players. If you’ve already got greenskins in your collection, you’re ready to play. The digital rulebook is just $26, with a hardback option available, too. That means you can jump in with what you’ve got on the shelf—and maybe a few beer caps from the fridge.

Final Thoughts

Space gitz game play

Space Gits is pure hobby joy: messy, loud, and overflowing with laughs. It’s a celebration of the part of wargaming that doesn’t care about balance spreadsheets or tournament metas. If you love Orks, mayhem, and dice-flicking nonsense, it’s time to paint some gitz, grab some caps, and wreck the city of Gnork with your rowdiest friends.
