Come and see a great way to create a base for any miniature with this new fully funded base creation system, live on Kickstarter.
The Basius base creation system is back with all new designs and ready to take care of your basing needs. This Kickstarter is a welcome sight to the hobbyist who likes to create their own custom bases. Let’s take a look at the new Basius: Max.
Basius Max Kickstarter:
How do I use BASIUS?
BASIUS is quick and easy to use – All you need is:
- some Green Stuff
- a squirty bottle with tap water in it
- a pair of hobby pliers
- an edged tool (we use a pound-shop clay sculpting tool)
Mix your Green Stuff into a ball, squirt water onto your pad, drop the Green stuff ball onto the pad and press onto it with your base, pull off the base using your pliers
Then either trim and shape your edge right away using any edged tool (you don’t need to use a sharp knife) or wait until it is dry to trim it.

This system is a great way to get the most out of your hobby dollars and get a great end product as well. It also looks like you could do 10 or more 25 mm bases at the same time saving the most precious commodity that you own, time.
Creating Custom Scenery!
You can make custom scenery elements easily by placing Green Stuff on the sticky side of tape. Just push it into the pad and use a book or similar to press it flat, remove it & leave it to dry – easy!
This product is large enough to create anything from tabletop scenery to custom dungeon tiles for your RPG adventures. This product is also made of hard resin so the mold should outlast any silicone mold on the market. Allowing you to get more for your hobby dollars.
You can sink your miniatures feet right in on muddy and plague ridden areas (and cut the feet off and push the ankles into water textures!). You can press them in lightly on leaves and grass. You can even press them onto rocky textures (very lightly!) to make it look like your miniatures feet are flexing to match the surface of the base (ok ok – this one may be an optical illusion as your miniature’s sole does not really reshape, but it does look like it once its based this way). You can even make footprints behind your miniature!
Make your mini and base one. Often, when you put a miniature on a base it is just the “on a base”. With this system, you can set your miniature into the world that you are trying to portray; not just plop it on top. Create footprints, insert bits, there is so much you can do to create a one of a kind work of art with the Basius Max system.
