Mantic Kings of War: Forces of the Abyss Get a Massive Rework!

Forces of the AbyssWhether you’ve been waging war across Mantica for years or just washed up on the shores of Kings of War, this latest update brings chaos pain. New Forces of the Abyss are ready to unleash chaos with fresh plastic kits and a fearsome Lord of Lies at the helm. If you like your armies with a side of mythological flair, this is the update for you.

From late September, it’s the Forces of the Abyss’ turn in the spotlight. If you’ve ever looked at hellish realms and thought, “This could use more chaos,” this faction has you covered. The centerpiece of their rework is the Lord of Lies, a jaw-dropping resin model that demands attention—part demonic figure, part psychological nightmare. This guy doesn’t just lead armies; he makes you question your reality while doing so.

But it’s not just about showstoppers; the new plastic kits are where the fun begins. First, you’ve got the Nagarri, snake-like warriors who slither into battle with an unsettling grace. These aren’t just your average “I’ll bite you” snakes; these are trained warriors who can tear you apart as easily as they can constrict their enemies. The lore here is rich—creatures twisted by the Abyss into their current forms, once noble, now shadows of their former selves, driven only by an insatiable hunger for destruction.

Then come the Abyssal Berserkers—giants of muscle and fury. These guys don’t come to the battlefield to fight. They come to smash, crash, and leave nothing but rubble in their wake. Imagine a group of demons who took a hard look at subtlety and said, “Nah, we’re good.” They’re chaos incarnate, terrifying and awe-inspiring.

Forces of the Abyss – Mega Army: $165

Forces of the Abyss 2The Forces of the Abyss Mega Army isn’t something you’d want to see coming over the horizon—unless, of course, you’re commanding it. When these infernal forces decide to launch a full-scale invasion, expect demonic waves of terror, both on foot and in the air, leaving devastation in their wake. Stopping them? Yeah, good luck. It’s going to take a lot of effort—and probably a fair bit of blood.

Forces of the Abyss 3This mega set includes 40 hard-plastic Lower Abyssals, 20 hard-plastic Abyssal Succubi, 6 Abyssal Nagarri, 6 Abyssal Berserkers, 3 Imp Swarms, plus a Resin Abyssal Champion and a fearsome Resin Abyssal Chroneas—all the infernal chaos you need, along with bases to get them battle-ready. Just a heads-up, though: pre-orders ship from September 23, 2024, and any multi-item orders will be held until everything’s ready to roll!

Final Thoughts on the Reworked Forces of the Abyss

Forces of the Abyss 4In the end, the Forces of the Abyss aren’t just another army—they’re a force of nature (well, more like anti-nature). With an arsenal of twisted demons, powerful resin champions, and monstrous units like the Chroneas, this faction doesn’t show up to play nice. Whether you’re leading these abyssal creatures into battle or trying to fend them off, the chaos they bring to the tabletop is nothing short of legendary.
