The yellow “S” of hope is back! Krypton is in danger from an outside source and one family’s legacy is to survive. Take a look at the new trailer!
Syfy has released the official trailer to Krypton, their prequel story to the stories of Superman, focusing on Seg-El and Adam Strange’s interactions with the Kryptonian.
For those unsure, Adam Strange is an earthling transported to another planet by a Zeta-beam portal and eventually becomes one of the planet’s protectors. He travels through these portals to and from Earth, the world he protects, and now he is traveling to Krypton to warn Seg-el of the dangers to his world. Seg-El is the grandfather of Kal-El, better known as Superman.
Adam Strange (played by Shaun Sipos) warns of “someone from the future, traveling to destroy Krypton”, implying that Seg-El (played by Cameron Cuffe) is in danger of being killed, which would alter history and prevent his son and grandson’s births. The hint to this villian lies in metallic tentacles creeping through space in the trailer itself. As Brainiac is said to be part of the series, played by actor Blake Ritson, perhaps he is trying to change history and prevent the constant conflict he encountered on Earth by the Kryptonian survivor.
Also making appearances will be General Zod’s mother and grandmother, and other names from novels such as The Last Days of Krypton by Kevin J. Anderson, and The World of Krypton by John Byrne and Mike Mignola.
Krypton comes to Syfy starting March 21, 2018. Check out the trailer below so see some pretty interesting sights, as well as a look at the action!
