Disney just announced that the launch of season 3 of the Mandalorian will be delayed; check out what we know so far!
Well, it’s not a huge delay, but at this point, it’s already been two years since the last season ended, so any delay is a little rough to take! Luckily, we haven’t been totally without bounty hunters as we had the Book of Boba Fett.
Plus, Andor is also up right now on Disney+, so there has been plenty of Star Wars action to hold us over! Let’s take a closer look at the release date details.
Disney Announces Season 3 of The Mandalorian is Being Delayed
The new official release date is now March 1st, 2023, which was announced by Disney.
Again, this isn’t a huge delay, as the initial release date was supposed to be February 1st. Still, waiting another month is not fun when you’ve already waited nearly two and a half years (by the time the show airs).
But if that means the end product is better, then we’re really not mad about it. Back at the D23 expo, the trailer did confirm the initial February release date, but there haven’t been too many details on why there is a delay.
It could be something that was taking longer in editing or just the fact that Disney realized they had a lull in shows in March.
Considering filming wrapped in March 2022, many people thought the series would show up in the Fall of 2022, which would line up with the two previous seasons.
Either way, it’s good to know when the show is actually coming out, so just add another month to your calendars and keep marking the days!
